The documents here concern 26 Arkansas Nursing Homes which were rated, as of 3/18/09, as providing the poorest level of care by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid. I downloaded the 3/18/09 rating of all Arkansas Nursing Homes. It is on this website at www.arknursinghomeinspectiondeficiencies.com. The current ratings can be found Here. The current ratings as shown on www.medicare.gov/NHCompare have improved for a number of these homes. The website was last updated on May 13, 2009.
The Deficiency List for each home was compiled for a newspaper ad and they were limited by the space available.
The Inspection Deficiency Reports are provided in their entirety for your confirmation of the Deficiency List information or for further reading about a Nursing Home’s deficiencies over time.
In reading the Deficiency Reports keep in mind that many of the deficiencies were done in the presence of the state inspector when the nursing home personnel were trying to do their best. I cannot imagine what it is like when the inspectors are not there.
